There comes a moment in every movement when we must raise our voices louder than ever before. May 21st is that moment.

On that day, Disabled people, allies, and organisations from across the UK will gather at Parliament in Westminster for a Mass Lobby Against Benefit Cuts. Organised by Disability Rights UK and supported by a growing coalition, including The Disability Union, this action is a direct response to the UK Government’s devastating proposals to tighten access to benefits like Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
Why This Lobby Matters
For many Disabled people, PIP isn’t just a benefit — it’s what enables daily life. It funds the support we need to work, study, travel, eat, live with dignity, and stay safe. These proposed cuts threaten to push thousands of us deeper into poverty, isolation, and crisis.
This is not just a policy issue. This is a human rights emergency.
The government wants to restrict access, reduce cash payments, and push people toward unsuitable, inflexible “services” instead. It is an ideological attack dressed up as reform — and it cannot go unchallenged.
Be There. Be Heard. Be Counted.
The Mass Lobby will take place on Wednesday 21st May 2024 from 12pm–4pm, at Westminster Lobby, Jubilee Room, London, opposite the Houses of Parliament.
There will be a peaceful lobby of MPs, where you can speak directly to your representative and explain why PIP — and wider benefit support — is vital for survival.
Even if you’ve never been political before, now is the time. Your voice matters.

This Is About All of Us
Whether you claim benefits or not, this is about the kind of society we want to live in. A society that values Disabled people — or one that pushes us aside.
On May 21st, let’s show them we won’t be silent. We won’t be sidelined. And we won’t let our rights be taken away.
Be there.
